Look at services, pricing, photos and experience to see if they fit your needs.
Read ratings and reviews
See what other customers in the community have shared about their experience.
Ask questions first
Message the provider to clarify scope, timing and anything you're unsure about.
Confirm the price and details
Agree on the final price, scope and cancellation or refund expectations directly.
Check licences for regulated work
For regulated services, independently confirm licences and insurance with the relevant regulator.
Keep agreements in writing
Put important details in writing, and avoid sending money before you've confirmed the arrangement.
Regulated services
Some professions are regulated by law. When a provider lists a credential, it is provider-submitted information, confirm it yourself with the relevant regulator.
Immigration consultants, regulated by the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (CICC).
Legal services, regulated by the relevant provincial law society.
Healthcare professionals, regulated by the relevant provincial health college.
Real estate agents, regulated by the relevant provincial real estate council (e.g. RECO in Ontario).
