This Privacy Policy explains what personal information EgyGo collects when you use our marketplace, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. By using EgyGo you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly, account information (name, email, password), provider listing information (business name, description, categories, service areas, pricing, availability, contact details), service-request information (dates, locations, job details), and any images or portfolio content you upload, along with ratings and reviews you submit. We also collect technical information automatically, such as device and browser information, usage and analytics information, and information from cookies and similar technologies.
2. How we use your information
We use your information to operate and improve the marketplace: to display provider listings, route service requests, enable customers and providers to connect, show ratings and reviews, respond to your enquiries, maintain safety and prevent abuse, and understand how the platform is used. We do not sell your personal information.
3. Sharing with providers
When you send a service request or message, the information you include (such as your name, contact details, location and job details) is shared with the provider you contact so they can respond to you. Once shared, the provider handles that information independently of EgyGo.
4. Public provider information
If you create a provider listing, the information in your profile, including your business name, description, photos, service areas, pricing, ratings and reviews, is displayed publicly on EgyGo and may appear in search engines.
5. Third-party services
We rely on trusted third-party services to operate, which may process some information on our behalf, for example email delivery, messaging via WhatsApp, maps, analytics, social media links and image hosting. These providers handle information under their own terms and privacy policies.
6. Data retention
We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the service and for legitimate business or legal purposes. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.
7. Your rights and choices
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you can ask questions about how it is handled. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We will respond in accordance with applicable Canadian privacy law.
8. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access. However, no method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children
EgyGo is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can remove it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the 'Last updated' date above. Significant changes may be communicated through the platform.
